Our celebration of Christmas in July began as an accident, of course. Kate and I happened upon an announcement from QVC – of all places – about the “early” purchase of home goods, lights and even wreaths on July 25, 2007. It was so fun that we started a new tradition that very day. I take the day off; we prep a typical holiday meal; presents are exchanged; children’s classics are watched; decorations are made and hung; games are created and played.

Christmas library books; white balloon “snowballs” and a cotton (snow)ball fight; peppermints. Sofie wanted me to have ribbons in my hair.
But, life is messy, isn’t it? My poor kids have been displaced since Super Bowl Sunday. Not one of them was really in the spirit to have an out-of-the-ordinary day on Tuesday, July 25, 2017. The lights never left the chair in my room.

I did put a bell on my dresser because “the bell rings for me.”
So, Grammy went on to work. I had some candy for the staff and a Halloween hanging for Rachel. Guess what. The Crew were totally in Christmas in July mode. Too fun. And, I would have missed it.

Surprise gift from Rachel. Oh yeah.

Before bed…July 25, 2017.
Oh what fun! Yay! Staff to the rescue! Has it really been 8 months?! Oh my. I can appreciate how they must feel…
Cheers~
Happy to hear your lil elves shared the Christmas spirit; that is an awesome Tee!!!
