Whatcha readin’?

That may be my favorite go to question to my family and friends; and especially to new friends. It’s a peek into their inner world.

Here’s a glimpse into mine….I read several non fiction books at the same time depending on my mood, location, and time. My go to this week has been The Wisdom of Menopause by Christiane Northrup, MD. I’m only 25 pages in and she may already be responsible for saving my sanity and my marriage, lol!

I just finished…

Loved this story and the way author told it was haunting and gripping with a sad undertone. (Okay, if you know me you know I adore happy endings!)

And I’m listening to this epic fantasy series as much for the narrator (awesome job). Age of Myth by Michael Sullivan was better but I have loved escaping into fantasy since I was a kid:

LOVE audio books; really use my Fire more than I expected and haven’t read an ebook on it yet, lol. Also listen to audible via Alexa which is SO handy.

I’m tracking on Goodreads this year and attempting to make it to 100; only at 34 so we’ll see! So far Bear Town by Fredrik Backman is my fav pick, yup a story about ice hockey who would of thunk it? 😉 I am in awe of all of Backman’s books and eternally grateful they have been translated into English. His characters are so well developed and believable I truly miss them when I turn the last page. (BTW if you are a fan they made A Man Called Ove into a movie, captioned and well done).

Only one question left to ask…whatcha readin’?

  1. Totally exasperated with Ove…have to finish, one day. Interesting selection of books…I will check out some of them…tbc. Stay tuned…

  2. Tooo funny that you are exasperated with Ove, lol. With his personality or with author’s writing? 😉

I MUST get into the habit of using my Fire for audio…get in my brain; get in my brain; get in there!

Laura, you read with the same vigor you apply to all things in your life. An example to us all.
