On my neighborhood walks, I occasionally see these free libraries – usually filled with an assortment of books for all ages. I always stop to see what’s being offered up and if I’ve read any. From this offering, I’ve read just one: Mary Higgins Clark’s Where Are the Children? Decades ago!
I have recently started reading audio books on my walks. Currently, I have The Housekeeper and the Professor by Yoko Ogawa on my iPhone. This is a delightful story about math, a housekeeper and a professor whose current memory lasts only 80 minutes at a time. The book is a great walking companion. I am almost finished with it and I will be sad to have it end.
What’s in you reading queue?
Cheers~
…you continue to inspire, old friend. Katie has Ben’s scout troop working on a free library for set-up at one of the many “kid gathering spots” in their hometown.
I think a kids’ library is “awesome” ~ to quote the word du jour! Go kids go!
Cheers~
great pix, like your reflection! I would borrow What Alice Forgot 😉
I want Jeff to create one; but first I want to live in a neighborhood that would support one, lol. Cheers!
One can never tell! I’ll need to look into What Alce Forgot…
