better than before

“What we do every day matters more than what we do once in a while. ~ Gretchen Rubin

(Me ~ April 30, 2012)

I am a big fan of Gretchen Rubin…and have been ever since I read her book, The Happiness Project several years ago. I listen to her weekly podcast Happier with Gretchen Rubin and was fortunate enough to see her in person at a 2015 speaking event upon the publication of her bestseller – Better Than Before – on making and breaking habits.

This summer I have determined that in order to create, establish  and reinforce several  new habits, I will have to rearrange my Morning Solitude and Quiet Time activities. Over the past year, my MSQT has grown exponentially…and were it left to my own devices, I’d probably spend all day in MSQT-mode. Well, that just doesn’t work because there are a lot of things I want to do or am scheduled to do…

Of course this would be oh so much simpler if I could clone myself, but alas, afraid not. So my next best option is to change a few habits…stay tuned.

  1. what a FUN shot! 😉 Looks like you’ve already CLONED yourself, lol

  2. Mirrors work wonders…now, if I could only put all those other Honore´s to work…

Ooooo…I forgot that hairstyle. Lovely. And, you sure do look like you’re having fun.

  4. Yep! Hair longer then…I was getting ready – buying clothes @ Nordstrom for my trip to Sisters that year! The mirrors were serendipity.
