… I am grateful for:
time spent with my stitchin’ friends…
the public library to pick up one book and walking out with eight!…
the joy of my now two decades MSQT (morning solitude and quiet time: reading; journaling; reading; learning; reflecting…appreciating)…
performing arts events at the University of Maryland, especially the annual free jazz band concert we attended Wednesday evening…
adopting and adapting the BUJO (bullet journal) system to meet my specific needs and practices- and that helps me experience more flow in my days…
flowering tulip trees and sunny skies and warm temps…
my two OurTriVista friends and this blog. I am especially grateful that we have this venue for sharing and caring and giving and supporting… Yesterday morning I finished the Gratitude Diaries by Janice Kaplan. (We three are reading it.) I am grateful that Laura suggested this book; though it’s a lot like others, e.g., Gretchen Rubin’s Happiness Project, I appreciated Janice’s interviews and take-aways from the people who are doing happiness and gratitude research and/or living a more mindful and grateful life. I think there’s something in the book for everyone and clearly, daily gratitude practices help us live a more fulfilling and creative life. At least that’s my take.
What are you grateful for today?
Cheers~
