We awoke this morning to a winter wonderland… The trees, bushes and flat surfaces – except the roadways – were all coated with a sprinkling of fairy dust…a sight to behold over and over again, regardless of the numbers of years. As I pen this, the sun has appeared and is melting the last vestiges of fairy dust.
I am nearing the end of Janice Kaplan’s The Gratitude Diaries… The more I read, the more convinced I become that being and stating gratefulness is not just an exercise that one does once a day – or perhaps more often; gratitude is indeed the path to wellness, happiness, appreciation, respect, delight, joy, wholeness, prosperity, connections, a life well-lived and treasured. There is so much in (my!) daily life for which I am grateful.
Perhaps – well, yeah! there are times I take my life for granted – but I am grateful that Mother Nature, even in her fury, gives us cause to pause and to appreciate the moments. This blog affords my two friends and me the opportunity to share our gratitudes for and about our lives and helps to keep us connected. Though we are miles apart, I feel even more connected to them and am ever so grateful that we are on our gratitude journeys, together.
Cheers~
Lovely words, awesome photo… and yes, yes, yes to this: “gratitude is indeed the path to wellness, happiness, appreciation, respect, delight, joy, wholeness, prosperity, connections, a life well-lived and treasured.” Sooooo grateful for our tri-connections and friendship, love, love, love ♥ (and of course vugs!)
