K is for koi…

Painted in Waterlogue-Koi

Monday was an absolutely gorgeous day – Mother Nature treated us to a real Spring day: bright blue and  sunny skies; temps in the low 70s with virtually no humidity; and a rainbow of flowering trees and flowers! A great day for a long and peaceful walk.

I live not far – perhaps 12-13 blocks from the Franciscan Monastery, an oasis of peace. The grounds are just gorgeous and there are benches strategically placed for one to sit and soak in the peacefulness of the surroundings and to take time out to pause and appreciate the beauty of nature.

And that is just what I did!

Do you have a favorite, go-to place for peace and solitude?

PS. The photo is of the koi pond on the grounds –  painted using the Waterlogue app on my iPhone! Can you see the fish?

  1. Yes, I see those lil orange guys. I love how this app makes your photos look like art! Walking the Monastery grounds is on my list of things to do with you on our next visit. ♥
