Hope chest hero

Hubby’s latest project was to refinish and slightly modify the cedar hope chest my aunt gave me.

The color was not a good fit for our decor and he wanted to remove the lip that met the lid and the curvy portion at the foot.

TaaDA! Hubby is my hero! This finish was achieved by sanding and burning the laminate off and staining with Rit Dye.
