Well, we did it. We finally just did it. Honore and I stole a Visit Day on 11/24/14. This time the adventure took us to the Kent County Public Library in Chestertown, MD. If we don’t meet at a B+N, it’s at a public library. And, I like that. (Although, I recall we did stick a session in at the Panera in Easton several years back. *grin*)
After a good talk, we intended to zip around the rich pre-Revolutionary War historical district before heading somewhere for a nice lunch. Really? The conversation was so animated, covered so much territory, provided so much humor that we sort of woke up to realize “we’re starving.” Glanced at the clock. 2:30pm. We giggled all the way to the Lemon Leaf Cafe…which we discovered was only a half block walk from the front of the library…which we found out after we drove around the corner. The tour? Another time. Better to relish a long, late lunch of award-winning crab bisque before heading in our opposite directions…again. NOTE: Laura, look what the restaurant stored in their book box!
We had the loveliest of times; just perfect and a gorgeous day, weather-wise, too! Nirvana!
Brilliant book box contents! 🙂 Can we do this AGAIN in December—with our whole ‘vista’ and three cuppas? I’ll be in MD for Dec 17 event and we may stay till Christmas. ♥
