Nature is impersonal, awe-inspiring, elegant, eternal. It’s geometrically perfect. It’s tiny and gigantic. You can travel far to be in a beautiful natural setting, or you can observe it in your backyard – or, in my case, in the trees lining New York City sidewalks, or in the clouds above skyscrapers.
Over the past couple days, we have had a tremendous display of clouds in the sky. Yesterday’s were especially dramatic and gorgeous. Some were big, white, fluffy, billowy; others, dark, threatening, foreboding…all, intriguing. Today, the clouds have been whispery. On both days, the clouds have been accompanied by temperatures – both day and night – totally un-August-like; more like late September: warm days and cool nights. And I am loving every minute of this premature Fall weather. Clouds and all!
