…defeat…conquer…annihilate vs. setback…loss…disappointment

Tie Series #6. May we someday know the meaning.

…my first instincts were to shout  “no way” to this prompt. But, I turned to my old friend, the dictionary, and found that defeat can mean to eliminate or deprive of something expected. Totally true, of course, where our dear Jon is concerned. As for the traditional definition, to prevail over; to vanquish…no way.
