I’ve learned that childhood friendships grow with you through distance and time.
Linda lives in the Bahamas where we grew up and went to school together. Me and my family only seem to make it over to visit every five years or so, not near often enough for their gracious hospitality.
We always pick up right where we left off, we shriek with laughter over humorous memories—we share a history and bond from our formative years that connects us like an invisible umbilical cord. We speak the same language—we get each other.
I wasn’t able to travel to see her and her husband Craig when they were in Florida last week so they made time to come up and visit us. Lins was a teenager the last time she saw my mom so this was an extra special visit. Love you Lins!
