Excellent first novel! Page turner! It was a challenge for me to fully visualize the silo and I can't wait to see what Ridley Scott does with this book as a movie. Two thumbs up!

Honoré gifted me this fabulous little book which is absolutely delightful! Thank you Honoré!

The illustrations were created by Hugh MacLeod and are ideal for the tone and message of this gem of a book. The insightful thought provoking message is from Seth Godin.

E is for …

Escape! My 2003 Ford Escape that is! On Friday last, November 23, my car’s odometer turned over to 100,000 miles. It’s been a great car these past nine years and has served me well haulin’ stuff up and down and across the highways and byways of Delaware, Maryland, Washington DC, with a few trips to New Jersey and Ohio thrown in for good measure. To commemorate the occasion, I took the car in for a sorely needed car wash.

I, too, always feel refreshed after a bath!

Cheers~

I participated in a firefighter themed obstacle course called Hero Rush and look I’m still grinning even after getting tangled up in ropes!
Fellow CrossFitters and a few brave friends joined in the fun. I was worried about what I’d gotten myself into but it was a BLAST!

We got a medal, tee shirt, banana, and water after we crossed the finish line (leaping over burning logs!). The obstacles were creative and I even enjoyed the maze: crawling in the dark with (fake) smoke. Check out some videos at: http://www.herorush.com/

We don’t have trick-or-treaters in my neighborhood ~ haven’t had for years. But, having said that, who could resist donning this hat on October 31? I made it three years ago for my niece’s Halloween costume and ran across this photo earlier this week.

Hope you have a fun time.

Cheers~
