My Poor Car was one-month into a two-month accident repair; the rental needed air in the tires over and over. Dusk on Saturday, Jan. 29th: heading home from a B&N trip, DH filled them again. We were both whining about the unfairness of it all. In ten days, I will break my knee at BWI Airport. A life-changing experience. The “dead” of winter? “Old Days?” Nope. Each day is a page-sometimes a whole chapter-in the Now. We stand in the scraps of 2011 but they make possible…

the oldness of books

...mesmerizes me. This copy of Treasure Island doesn't even have a publication date!

Treasures discovered in used book stores. Don't you wonder who held them and read them? I find they make the perfect gift for book-lovers at Christmas or anytime. Did you receive any old treasures this year?
